The graph and table show the number of fishermen for different regions in 1970, 1980 and 2000. In addition the table shows the exports of fish in 2000.
First of all I will illustrate in my writing the graph which represents the fishermen by region in millions. The graph shows the Asian continent come the first between continents in 2000; it contains almost 27M fishermen whereas Africa comes at the bottom; it represents about 3M fishermen. In fact Africa starts strongly in the year 1970 and exceeded Asia but as you see Africa dropped from 9M to 3M between 1970 to 2000. Another important point is South America remained the same between 1970 and 2000. Also comparing South and North America the number of fishermen in the North grew from 1970 to 2000 and it passed the South American figure. In the table as you see Thailand comes at the top of the table whereas South-Korea came at the bottom. Also Norway has the largest exports in Europe.
In conclusion, the fishing industry in Asia grew fast from 1970 to 2000 whereas there was slow growth in some continents and it decreased or stayed the same in the other continents. Thailand has an important figure of exports whereas South-Korea comes bottom
